The workshop consists of three separate courses on June 6, 13 and 20, where you will learn how to program Arduino microcontrollers. You will learn how to connect them with external hardware like LCD displays, seven-segment displays, sensors, relays, etc. It is designed for people with little or no programming experience. You will need a laptop/PC with a USB port and downloaded Arduino software.
Stage 1 (June 6): Hello world!
We will install and set up the software for programming and learn the basics of the Arduino controllers. We will run the first simple program and learn how to use the onboard LED.
Stage 2 (June 13): Something to control...
You know how to load programs on your Arduino, now its time to give it something to control. You will get an introduction to various kind of hardware we’ll be using in this stage to connect to the microcontroller. You will learn how to send data to displays or receive data from sensors. We’ll build a small circuit to use the relay boards.
Stage 3 (June 20): Playtime
Now you learned how to use the microcontroller in combination with external hardware. In this stage you can develop your own little project with the provided hardware or explore various programming examples like custom display characters generators.
The workshop will be held in English or German.
