1975 – The Year of Women: A French television station asked seven female filmmakers to answer the question "What it entails to be a woman?". Agnès Varda answers with a short film Woman Reply: Our Body, Our Gender. The film includes topics of intimate life, advertising, social expectations versus individual needs. Supposedly, this film evoked complaints from French TV viewers.
