Skrze svou tvorbu se zabývá formováním pojmu radikální body positivity – radikálního, aktivistického, emancipačního konceptu tělesnosti kombinujícího uměleckou praxi s teoretickými feministickými zdroji o tělesnosti, aktivismu, sexekologii, sex pozitivitě, queer, fat, disability studies, teoriích performance a performativity a také poezií.
Kateřina Olivová je umělkyně, performerka, pedagožka a kurátorka. Je absolventkou Fakulty výtvarných umění VUT v Brně, Ateliéru tělového designu. V součastnosti vede společně s Darinou Alster ateliér Nová média 2 na AVU. Je zakladatelkou podpůrné skupiny (nejen) pro matky umělkyně Mothers Artlovers a skupiny Kojící guerilla. Skrze své performance, které často balancují na hranici kýče a záměrné trapnosti, otevírá otázky zažitých společenských tabu. Ve své tvorbě tématizuje tělesnost, nahotu, sexualitu, feminismus, rodinu, mateřství a vztahy, emoce a sny. Primárním médiem její tvorby je tělo zapojené do performance. V roce 2018 byla finalistkou Ceny Jindřicha Chalupeckého. V roce 2020 vydala knihu rozhovorů s rodiči v uměleckém provozu Milk and Honey a v roce 2021 úspěšně dokončila své PhD studium na téma Umění a mateřství u Prof. Mgr.A Lenky Klodové Ph.D.

Through her work, she deals with the formation of the concept of radical body positivity – a radical, activist, emancipatory concept of corporeality combining artistic practice with theoretical feminist sources on corporeality, activism, sex ecology, sex positivity, queer, fat, disability studies, theories of performance and performativity, as well as poetry.
Kateřina Olivová is an artist, performer, teacher, and curator. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Technical University in Brno, Studio of Body Design. She currently runs the New Media 2 atelier at the Academy of Fine Arts together with Darina Alster. She is the founder of the support group (not only) for mother artists Mothers Artlovers and the group Breastfeeding Gorillas. Through her performances, which often straddle the line between kitsch and deliberate embarrassment, she raises questions about established social taboos. Her work explores issues of physicality, nudity, sexuality, feminism, family, motherhood and relationships, emotions, and dreams. The primary medium of her work is the body involved in the performance. She was a finalist for the Jindřich Chalupecký Award in 2018. In 2020 she published Milk and Honey - a book of interviews with parents in the artistic area. She successfully completed her Ph.D. studies on the topic of Art and Motherhood with Prof. Mgr.A Lenka Klodová Ph.D. in 2021.
