Exhibition of teachers of the Painting Studio I of the University of Ostrava Daniel Balabán, Václav Rodek and Ivo Sumec.
Among different paintingstudios at universities outside of Prague, the "Balaban's" has beenfor long one of the most interesting – and it still belongs to the time andfunctioning when the seal is given by the authors. Therefore, it is interestingto introduce all three teachers within this exhibition.Daniel Balabán (* 1957) -painter belonging to the generation rising with the postmodern in the 1980s,which in its work reflects the figure, the landscape, and flirting with theconcept, it hardly works in cycles and every painting is "for the occasionof the day". He also forms ceramics.Václav Rodek (* 1976) -in the team of teachers of the Atelier of Painting I, he is the type ofdesigner, the one who works on the topic again and again. Different views show diversity– of both author and topic. He takes care of horses.Ivo Sumec (* 1970) -illustrator, in a good way. A drawing of an ordinary armchair or chandelier canbe a picture if it works. He is interested in graphic design.
