INSIDE is the second exhibition connecting the works of authors Andros Foros and Pavel Dušek. Their works are different in both content and form, but what they have in common is the focus on the interior space, either figuratively or explicitly.
Andros Foros (1993) deals with the theme of the inner child. He works with the idea that this is one of the many layers of our personality that has had its own time and space to exist before being overlaid by a new layer. In the works, the inner child visualizes and gives it certain connotations and attributes, such as weapons, armor or jewelry. They put him in different roles, poses and situations. However, the author leaves the interpretation of the individual works up to the viewer, the question he tries to raise is essential. He works in the medium of sculpture, painting and drawing, which he studied at the The Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. In each medium, he treats the subject in a specific way.
Pavel Dušek (1992) deals with the reconstruction of his memories. In his work, we see the inner space expressed explicitly. From his memories, he builds spaces and places with which he creates his own virtual environment. It tries to capture the genius loci of a given place. He works with the media of painting, which he studied at the The Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, and relief, which he subsequently colors and thus moves to the border between painting and sculpture. Pavel devotes himself to street art, he installs his reliefs in public space, which thus expands his views into imaginative interiors.
