James Eden
Jakub Eden is a guitarist and vocalist. Influenced by guitarists such as Paco de Lucia and alt-rock bands of the 1990s, his compositions are a fusion of song form, flamenco guitar technique and harmonic elements of neoclassical music. His work was organically created by countless improvisations during his travels in European countries, where he was inspired by the local atmosphere. The lyrics, which he writes in English, are reflections on life, a profound introspection and a collage of fleeting moments that he preserves in the form of poetry. He performs mainly in Prague music clubs, at music festivals all over the Czech Republic and occasionally goes abroad (Water Music Festival in Lithuania).
Fragments
Sarah and Františka are a songwriting duo. They recently formed a band where they perform under the name Fragments. The group takes turns playing guitar: Františka Padevětová, Tadeáš Lorenc, Martin Hvězda and Michaela Kortánová. Added keyboards: Daniel Thein, bass guitar: Tadeáš Lorenc and drums: Matěj Kavan. Lyrics and vocals: Sarah Köverová. Their main genre is folk — and with a pinch of beautiful melancholy they sing in the author's songs about their own worldview.
Jan Vesely
Jan Vesely is an emerging folk artist influenced by the lyrics of the Czech underground from the 90s and the young folk scene. He has only been working for the last 3 years, he has never studied art school, he simply makes the music as he feels and writes the lyrics as he sees them. He doesn't have any big shows yet, but his dream is to play at some small summer festival. In his lyrics he addresses the issues of his fears, he tries to think about the future through music, the overall feeling of his music is rather calm and melancholic, but always with a good ending. As he says of himself, “If I were even calmer, I would begin to reverse in time.”
Jan Váňa
Jan Váňa is a Tábor songwriter. His lyrics make you cry with their tenderness, and his music embraces you. With his heart, he continues to return to his hometown of Tabor, from which he draws inspiration and in which he still finds his peace. In April, he released his debut album at Indias Scopes titled And darkness fell on Jordan. A new EP will be released at the end of November.
Drunken Strings
Prague folk-blues guitar duo, who unwittingly take inspiration from oldies and childhood songs that their parents released to them in the car. David Peřich on acoustics and Jan Eis on cigarbox guitar.
