In the face of the Russiangenocidal war on Ukraine, Ukrainian women have actively resisted the imperialaggressor in myriad forms on the frontlines, and in humanitarian, political orcivil society efforts. But as discussions on Ukraine’s post-war recovery aretaking place as part of the related international solidarity, the key questionis, will the aftermath of the war also include women? It is now urgent to bringin the feminist lens in these discussions and ensure that Ukrainian women’sagencies are respected and included in the recovery.

The event will bring togetherspeakers from Ukraine and the Czech Republic to discuss the gendered aspects ofthe post-war recovery of Ukraine as well as the impacts of the Russian invasionon refugees and the receiving countries. How do Ukrainian feminists think aboutthe aftermath of the war? What are the immediate war-related and long-termgendered insecurities they prioritize? What international responses are crucialfor Ukraine’s gender-responsive recovery in and outside of the country?
