Romantic and incorrect painter, dreamer and skeptic endowed with faith, he is generationally closest to the art group Stubborn, but at the time when most of them studied at the Academy, he belonged to the Prague underground. He did not join the Academy until 1990. It is characterized by its uncompromising nature and ability to connect to deep sea currents. The reality is not quite as it appears on the surface. For a long time, Roman Trabura reveals a world beneath the surface (consciousness), full of unknown contents. Here is the wellspring of his chiliastic visions. Water is its element. The exhibition Groundwater at the Hybernská Campus presents permanent seeps and outflows of groundwater into Trabur's work from the beginnings to the present.
